Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 19, 2026

ANCREATIVE INC. ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how TV - Family Calendar ("the App") handles user information in accordance with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and applicable privacy laws.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect and process only the information needed to provide calendar pairing and syncing for TV - Family Calendar. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it for analytics or profiling.

  • No account is required to use the App.
  • Apple Calendar setup uses the public calendar subscription URL you provide only to complete pairing with your Apple TV.
  • Google Calendar setup requires Google sign-in and uses read-only calendar access to provide a calendar feed to your Apple TV.

    Google Calendar Events scope

    https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly

Pairing codes are used to securely connect your browser setup session with your Apple TV. Unused pairing codes expire automatically.

Outlook Calendar connections

If you connect Outlook Calendar, Microsoft asks you to approve read-only calendar access and ongoing access for syncing. We read calendar names, colours, and event titles, dates, times, and locations to display your schedule on Apple TV. We do not request permission to edit your calendars.

Microsoft access and refresh tokens are stored on our Firebase backend, hosted by Google Cloud. The TV receives a private calendar feed URL; anyone with that URL can read its calendar feed, so keep it private. Event data passes from Microsoft through our backend to your TV and is not retained as an event archive on our backend. We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.

You can revoke the connection through your Microsoft account's app permissions. Removing calendars from the TV stops that TV's syncing but does not revoke Microsoft authorization or delete the server tokens. Contact us at support@ancreative.ca to request deletion of stored connection tokens. A temporary secure browser cookie links Microsoft sign-in to your pairing session and expires within ten minutes.

2. Google User Data Access

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the App requests read-only access to your calendars and their events. This may include calendar names and colors, as well as event titles, start and end dates or times, all-day status, recurrence information, event identifiers, status, and locations when those fields exist in your calendar events.

The App does not request permission to create, edit, delete, or manage Google Calendar events, calendars, contacts, Gmail, Drive files, or any other unrelated Google account data.

3. How We Use Google User Data

We use Google Calendar event data only to create a read-only calendar feed that can be displayed in TV - Family Calendar. Our backend requests events from Google, converts the event data into calendar feed format, and returns that feed to the App on your Apple TV.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, analytics, profiling, model training, sale, or any purpose unrelated to displaying your calendar in the App.

4. Data Storage and Security

For Apple Calendar subscription URLs, temporary pairing records are removed after the Apple TV retrieves the connected calendar URL. After that, the calendar subscription information is stored locally on your Apple device.

For Google Calendar, we store Google OAuth access and refresh tokens in our backend database so the App can continue syncing your calendar without requiring you to sign in repeatedly. When your Apple TV refreshes the calendar feed, our backend uses those tokens to request calendar events from Google and convert them into a calendar feed for the App.

Google OAuth tokens and calendar feed requests are transmitted over HTTPS. Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized service operations. Pairing codes expire automatically, and temporary Apple Calendar pairing records are deleted after retrieval by the Apple TV.

We use this data only to provide the calendar syncing feature. We do not use calendar information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or sale to third parties.

5. Google User Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or disclose Google user data to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties for their own purposes.

Google Calendar event data is transferred only between Google, our backend services, and your TV - Family Calendar app as needed to provide the calendar display feature. We may use cloud infrastructure providers to host backend services and store the OAuth tokens required for syncing, but they process the data only to operate the App on our behalf.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Google OAuth tokens are retained only while needed to keep your Google Calendar feed connected to TV - Family Calendar. Calendar event data is requested from Google when the feed refreshes and is converted into the calendar feed response; we do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell it.

You can revoke TV - Family Calendar's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access prevents the App from continuing to read your Google Calendar events.

You may also request deletion of Google OAuth tokens and related calendar connection records by contacting us at support@ancreative.ca. We will delete verified connection records unless we are required to keep limited information for legal, security, or abuse-prevention purposes.

7. Third-Party Access

TV - Family Calendar does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. If you choose Google Calendar, the App uses Google's OAuth and Calendar APIs to provide read-only calendar syncing. Your use of Google Calendar is also subject to Google's privacy policy and account settings.

8. App Permissions

The App does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or other unrelated device permissions. It uses network access to complete pairing, authenticate with Google or Microsoft when selected, and display the calendar subscription you configure.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in functionality, technology, or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted within the App and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the new policy.
